It's been 10 years since this seminal release and it hasn't lost any of it's force in that time. The doom-piled slowcore-gaze is resplendent on the Les Discrets songs. Spectral, resonant and forceful with a certain 4AD wash of vocal ghosts and Eastern European flavored acoustic guitar work . Arctic Plateau is more linear, elements of post-punk and subtle dark shoegaze. Nice repress as well!
